Tarzana

After writing the hugely successful “Tarzan of the Apes” in 1912, Edgar Rice Burrows purchased a 540 acres estate, renamed it “Tarzana”, and moved his family there. He has said, “I believe that (this) is one of the loveliest spots in the world.”
Since that time, Tarzana has been developed and is now a largely residential area with many upscale neighborhoods that serve as home to Los Angeles’ urban sophisticates, celebrities, and professional athletes.
